What’s the diagnosis?

You are examining a newborn and the parents ask what you think of the spot on their newborn’s face. The infant’s weight, height and head circumference are all appropriate, the vital signs are stable, and the rest of the exam is without concern. The mother reports this spot was present at birth and there is no family history of lesions like this.
